A Kolkata Law Firm Since 2014
Legal Globus is a Kolkata law firm founded in 2014 by two Calcutta High Court advocates, MD Minhajuddin and Gunja Pachisia. Since our first case, we have handled more than 500 legal matters across eight core practice areas, from single property title disputes to multi-year corporate litigation.
Today, Legal Globus operates from Nicco House at 2 Hare Street, BBD Bagh, in the legal heart of central Kolkata. Our office sits four minutes from the Calcutta High Court.
How Legal Globus Started
Legal Globus began as a joint venture between two young advocates who had trained separately at the Calcutta High Court and wanted to build something both partners could stand behind fully. MD Minhajuddin brought years of experience in transactional and non-litigation work, from real estate deeds to corporate documentation. Gunja Pachisia brought courtroom advocacy, appearing regularly before civil, family, and criminal courts across Kolkata.
The two disciplines rarely sit under one roof at smaller Kolkata law firms. Most practices lean either litigation-first or transactional-first, forcing clients to hire two firms for what could be handled by one. Legal Globus was built to fix that structural gap in the Kolkata legal market.
Fourteen years later, the two-partner model remains our core operating structure. Every new matter is reviewed by both partners at the intake stage. Every client gets the head of the relevant practice as their primary contact, not a junior associate. This is how we have kept our client relationships intact across every case category we handle.
Meet the Founding Partners
MD Minhajuddin
MD Minhajuddin co-founded Legal Globus in 2014. He is an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of West Bengal and has practised at the Calcutta High Court and Various district courts in and around Kolkata since 2008 .
Focus areas:
Real estate transactions, property title work, corporate advisory, ROC and MCA compliance, banking documentation, drafting and conveyancing, and NRI legal services connected to Kolkata property matters.
Clients he serves:
Individual property buyers and sellers, NRI clients handling Kolkata property, private limited companies, Nationalised & Private Banks, NBFCs, Co-operative societies, Housing societies, family businesses, and MSME traders across the city.
Languages:
English, Hindi, Bengali, and Urdu. Fluency in Urdu is a rare capability at Kolkata’s legal bar and matters significantly for our Central Kolkata clientele.

Gunja Pachisia
Gunja Pachisia co-founded Legal Globus in 2014. She is an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of West Bengal and has practised litigation at the Calcutta High Court since 2007.
Focus areas:
Civil litigation (partition suits, injunctions, specific performance, arbitration), family disputes (divorce, custody, maintenance, mediation), criminal defence (bail applications, FIR quashing, 498A defence, cyber crime), and consumer protection cases.
Regularly appears before:
Calcutta High Court, City Civil Court of Kolkata, Alipore Court, Bankshall Court, Sealdah Court, family courts across Kolkata, the Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT), and Consumer Commissions at District and State levels.

Legal Globus operates from a single office in central Kolkata at 1st Floor, Room No. 3, Nicco House, 2 Hare Street, BBD Bagh, Kolkata 700001. The building is a recognised landmark in the BBD Bagh area. We are four minutes on foot from the Calcutta High Court, six minutes from Esplanade Metro station, two minutes walk from Mahakaran Metro Station , Five Minutes walk from Ferry Ghat, and directly accessible from the Kolkata airport , Howrah Railway station and Sealdah Railway Station by pre-paid taxi or app cab in within 45 minutes.
